El Equipo Del Norte is a Swedish music group specializing in salsa, traditional Cuban son, and Latin jazz. The group is notable for its close association with producer, vocalist, and percussionist Thomas De Paula Eby, the former singer of the Swedish group Calle Real. Eby has played a major role in the group's sound, providing lead vocals, arrangements, and recording percussion.
The ensemble has explored different facets of Cuban music through releases like the EP "Aguántate", which focused on salsa, and "Bienvenido a Holguín", an EP paying tribute to the traditional son of eastern Cuba.
In addition to salsa and son, the group's catalog features genres such as bossa nova and Latin jazz. Between 2025 and 2026, El Equipo Del Norte released numerous singles, including "La Gozadera", "Energia da Batacuda", "Santamarías Dance", "A Copa do Mundo", "Sulco", "Nunca Para de Amar", and "Batucada Madness" in 2025. This was followed by the singles "No Me Olvides", "Mentirosa", and "Lolita Linda" in 2026.
